Pranayama

This video is intended as a reminder about what we do in our sessions together.  I am not giving full and detailed instructions here, nor do I expect your pranayama practice to go this fast.

Take your time, review the video to refresh your memory and be sure to always stay as relaxed as possible when practicing.

Propped Asanas

Supported Fish Pose (Salamba Matsyasana)
The roll under the back is placed directly opposite the chest, ensuring a lift in the front chest.  The shoulders rest between the roll and pillows, allowing gravity and time to release the shoulders towards the floor.  The legs can be bent if the lower back starts to ache.

Seated Pranayama
Use the wall as feedback for aligning your spine, including your head.  Try to touch the buttocks, upper back and base of the skull to the wall.  The roll in the low back will assist with proper posture.  Try to maintain those connections at the wall as you chant OM.  Stay very relaxed and stop if you feel any strain or the sound looses its good quality.
